We are grateful to California Arts Council for awarding the Kronos Performing Arts Association a Youth Arts Action grant, continuing its funding of Kronos Music: Remix, our collaborative education project with Sunset YOUTH Services. The Remix project supports young San Francisco Bay Area-based music producers, engineers and hip hop artists as they deconstruct and sample recordings from Kronos' Fifty for the Future repertoire to create their own music. This award was made public on Monday when CAC announced a record-setting $29,951,200 in support for arts and culture in California.
